Thanks for the note, Abha. I’ve seen the “years of experience” requirement on many PM roles… my informal rule of thumb is that if they’re looking for someone with 2 or fewer years of experience, they’re open to more junior candidates or candidates with adjacent experience. It’s a bit of a numbers game if you’re coming from a non-PM background… you have to find someone who’s willing to take a chance on you.

IMO additional training, certificate programs, etc are not necessary unless you have a gap in your knowledge or skills that would prevent you from being an effective junior PM.
